  • Officers

    Officers (sometimes called executive officres) are the main ones in charge of the Youth Board. They make the bigger decisions and have more responsibilities. Officers must complete an aplication that is reviewed and voted on by the current officers.

     

    Keep in mind:

    • Officers must be a D-3 HM or higher
    • There may only be two officers from each club
    • Officers are re-elected every two years
    • Officer changes occur around late July to Early August
    • Officers may serve a maximum of 4 years

    Members

    Representatives (sometimes called the members of the board) make up the Council, which is part of the board, but have a smaller role. There is less required of members, but they still have a say in what happens.There should be more members than officers.

     

    Keep in mind:

    • There is no rating requirement for members (although they should be old enough to represent their club well)
    • The application process is still in the process of being worked out, although they will probably be chosen by the club they represent.
  • President

    The president is in charge of running meetings, directing the board, and communicating the MSYB's decisions to the adult board. This person should be upbeat, confident, personable, and organized. The other officers will report to the president, so this person should also be humble and amicable.

    Vice president

    The VP is in charge of keeping order in the meetings, communicating with members of the MSYB, and organizing events. This person should be helpful, organized, hard-working, and personable.

    Overall Secretary

    The secretary is responsible for the inner workings of the MSYB. This person takes attendance, organizes meetings, ensures the success of projects, and documents MSYB activities. This person should be organized, motivated, personable, and communicative.

    Communications Coordinator

     

    This position is sometimes considered a type of secretary. There may be two Communication Coordinators, their role is to ensure the officers and members of the Youth Board can easily communicate with each other and that the Youth Board has good social media presence. They should be good with technology, energetic, and be prepared to post on social media on the Youth Board's behalf.

  • Project Manager

    This position is sometimes considered a type of secretary. There may be two project coordinators, their role is to ensure the details and logistics of projects are worked out and present this at regular board meetings. They should be organized, creative, and realistic.
